Victor’s daughter Kayla received her yellow belt last week at Gracie Humaitá Ilha do Governador from Grandmaster Manoel. Victor surprised her at her promotion ceremony to her delight. The jiu-jitsu circle of knowledge is never-ending.

Charlie takes his left foot off the hip and uses his leg as a pendulum to help him sit up and hug Tom’s right leg (he keeps his sleeve grip with his right hand).
After sitting up, he feeds the sleeve grip from his right hand to his left hand.
This allows him to post with his right hand and stand up (with Tom’s leg trapped between Charlie’s legs).

Charlie lifts the leg and is free to sweep Tom’s other leg.

Step 4: Continuing to slide down Big Bus’ leg, Robert brings his right leg through and in front of David’s right leg.
Step 5: Robert triangles his legs and uses a chopping motion to put Big Bus down.
Step 6: Robert connects his hands under Big Bus’ achilles, squeezes his knees together and lifts his hips to finish the straight ankle lock.
We were proud to host grappling legend Royler Gracie at Victor Huber BJJ for a three hour seminar. Royler showcased true Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to a packed academy on Saturday February 16th. Royler is a gifted teacher and instructed the academy on self-defense, takedowns and ground techniques. He then opened himself up to questions that ranged from specific positional questions to diet and training philosophies.
